Family therapy teaches family members how to better support one another. It teaches family members how to cope with a family member who may have a mental health diagnosis. It also helps families develop strategies to resolve problems and ways to handle conflict and how to effectively communicate with one another. All families possess strengths and it is those strengths that are used to help the improve family dynamics.
